Sensitive and Delicate

Sensitive and delicate .. tears rush quickly to her eyes when talking about her suffering and pain .But you can read in her face the innocence and the great ambition in spite of living with the pain since she was a baby.

This is Ameera Al-Zubidi who is not sixteen  yet. Ameera happened to be accompanied by a disability since birth.  She suffers from weakness in the muscles and nerves of the curvature of the spine in addition to the warp in the right foot.  So she wears a medical shoe in order to help her walk.

Making her decision to join the Popular Achievement Program in its seventh session, Ameera was positive.  It has given her the opportunity to prove herself and to get a hearing.  Al-Zubaidi said, “I was introvert and shy to talk in front of peopl.  I used to have a red face at speaking.  I was reluctant to join the program.”  She noted that the program has refined her personality.  It has given her the opportunity to integrate into the community and to interact with people.  Moreover, it has drawn the attention to the issue of people with special needs – physically.

Ameera was able to leave honorable fingerprints in the initiative.  ”We are working silently for you.”  This was the  initiative  which was carried out by Shqaeq Al-Noman group targeting those  with special physical needs.

Ameera has got her own significant presence in the initiative. She was able to attrack the attention of the group towards the issue of disability.  The group has, in turn, assisted Ameera in providing her with a medical shoe showing a great sense of responsibility towards her. In addition, the group has carried out a number of different activities such as workshops and broadcasting seminars … and others.

Ameera intended to prove to everyone that the disabled is the one whose disability hampers  his body form going on. Also, disability is not a crime nor a disgrace prosecute the owner. She appealed to the community to trust the creativity and excellence of those with special needs, despite their disability.

This is Ameera Al-Zubidi whose disability has never frustrated her or prevented her from being distinguished. She has a limitless ambition reinforced by her high self-confidence and her great hope in Allah.
